Real people who messaged us just like you — and are now studying medicine in Tbilisi.
I spent 3 months researching MBBS abroad — Russia, Philippines, Kazakhstan. Then I found StudyMed Georgia. Within 48 hours I had a provisional offer from CIU. The whole process took 6 weeks. I'm now in Year 2 and Tbilisi is honestly the best city I've ever lived in.
I tried applying to GRUNI directly through their website — it was confusing and I got no reply for 2 weeks. A friend sent me StudyMed Georgia's link. I WhatsApp'd them at 11pm and got a reply in 15 minutes. My visa was approved, I'm doing Dentistry for $4,500/year. Unreal value.
My main worry was whether the degree would be recognized back in Jordan. StudyMed Georgia sent me a full breakdown — CIU is recognized by the Jordanian Medical Council. That was the answer I needed. Applied, got in, flew to Tbilisi in September. Best decision I've ever made.
I was scared about the language barrier. They told me everything is in English, no Georgian needed, B1 level is enough. I took a 3-month prep course at the university for $500 and now I'm completely fine. Living costs are crazy low — I spend about $500/month total.
I needed a March intake — not September. GRUNI was the only option and StudyMed Georgia knew that instantly. They handled my NCEQE recognition, the Ministry order, the invitation letter — I literally just showed up with my suitcase. Zero stress application.
Tuition + living. No hidden fees. This is everything you need to budget for one year in Tbilisi.
💡 Tbilisi is one of the most affordable capitals in Europe. Your money goes far here.
💡 No entrance exam. March intake available — you don't have to wait until September.
Both universities are internationally accredited. Here's what that means for the four countries we serve most.
Not sure about your country? Message us — we'll give you a specific answer.
Ask us about your countryNo fluff. Straight answers to what students actually ask us on WhatsApp.
No. All programs we offer are 100% taught in English. You don't need to know a single word of Georgian. You need a minimum B1 English level for Bachelor's programs — if you're not there yet, CIU offers a 3-month language course for just $500.
No entrance exam at either university. You need your high school diploma, a copy of your passport, and basic documentation. That's it. No IELTS required (if English was your language of study).
Once you submit your documents to us, the process typically takes 4–8 weeks from application to invitation letter. Important: documents must be submitted at least 1.5 months before your intended intake (March or September). We'll keep you updated at every step — no waiting in the dark.
Georgia is consistently ranked one of the safest countries in Europe. Tbilisi has a huge international student community, great food, affordable nightlife, fast internet, and a cost of living that's a fraction of Western Europe. Most students absolutely love it.
Expect to spend around $750–950/month on rent, food, transport and going out. A 1-bedroom apartment near campus starts from $400/month. Food and groceries run $200–250/month. Transport is about $20/month. A full meal at a restaurant is $5–10. It's still very affordable compared to Western Europe.
Both universities are listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools and accredited by WFME — which is the international standard. CIU is additionally recognized by GMC (UK), ECFMG (USA), NMC (India), Saudi Health Council, and more. Message us with your country and we'll give you a specific answer.
It depends on your country and goals. CIU has more global recognitions (especially UK — GMC/GDC) and is slightly more established internationally. GRUNI has lower fees, the largest simulation labs in Georgia, a March intake, and no entrance exam. We'll help you choose based on where you want to practice after graduation — just ask us.
Our service fee is £1,500 for UK students or $1,500 for all other countries. Payment is split: 50% when your documents are submitted, and the remaining 50% when your Ministry order is issued — so you only pay the second half once your place is confirmed. Tuition is paid directly to the university separately.
The basics: passport copy, high school diploma, academic transcripts, passport photos. We'll tell you exactly what's needed for your specific country and help you prepare everything — including translations and notarizations if required.
